About VIT, Amaravati Campus

VIT-AP University (VIT-AP), also known as the Vellore Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh, or VIT University, Andhra Pradesh, is a state-recognized private university situated in Inavolu, Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, India. The foundation stone for the university was laid by then Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on November 3, 2016, as part of a new education district in the planned capital city.

The Andhra Pradesh state government allocated 200 acres (81 hectares) of land for the VIT-AP campus in Amaravati. The campus was officially inaugurated on November 28, 2017, by the former Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu, in the presence of the Chief Minister, who also opened two newly constructed blocks.

The university offers a range of modern amenities, including a gymnasium, facilities for indoor and outdoor sports, multi-cuisine food courts, medical centers, guest houses, and mini multi-purpose halls, ensuring a holistic campus experience for students.
