About VCET, Thindal

VCET is a co-educational engineering college established in 2001 and managed by the Vellalar Educational Trust (VET), which was founded in 1969 to provide quality and affordable education from primary school to the PhD level. The trust oversees nine other institutions, including schools, arts and science colleges, and professional colleges in pharmacy, nursing, and education. Initially, VCET offered three undergraduate engineering programs with an intake of 180 students. The college is approved by AICTE and affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. Currently, it provides nine UG programs, five PG programs, and three research centers approved for PhD studies. With over 3,100 students enrolled, four UG programs were accredited by NBA in 2016 under the Tier 2 scheme, followed by B.Tech Information Technology in 2018. The college attained autonomous status from UGC in 2016-17 and adopted the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS). This system offers diverse courses to equip students for careers in core and IT industries, higher education in India or abroad, or entrepreneurial ventures.

• Final-year M.E./M.Tech students are also eligible to apply

• M.A./M.Sc. candidates with NET/SET qualification or a Ph.D. can apply

• Relevant work experience is preferred
