Assistant Professor: Required to have M.S./ M.D/ DNB degree. Requires three years of teaching experience post-MD/MS/DNB in a recognized medical college.

Associate Professor: Required to have M.S/M.D/DNB degree. Requires four years of teaching experience in a recognized medical college, including two years as an Assistant Professor.

Professor:  Required to have M.S/M.D/DNB degree.  Requires a minimum of 14 years of teaching experience, including three years as an Associate Professor.

Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Saifai, was established in 2016 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, following the reconstitution of the Uttar Pradesh Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Saifai, which had been founded in 2005. The University was created under Act No. 15 of 2016 of the Uttar Pradesh state legislature, as a State University. According to the Uttar Pradesh Extraordinary Gazette on the same date, the University comprises five faculties: Medicine, Dental, Paramedical Sciences, Nursing, and Pharmacy. It is listed as a State University under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956.
