T.K.M. Institute of Technology, established by the T.K.M. College Trust, is located on a scenic 25-acre campus at Musaliar Hills, Karuvelil, Kollam. The campus is situated approximately 23 km from Kollam City and 3 km from Cheerankavu Junction on NH 208, the Kollam–Madurai National Highway. The institute began operations in 2002 and is approved by AICTE, with affiliation to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

The Institute offers B-Tech programmes in six disciplines namely Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering(AI).

The institute boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure, including modern, well-equipped laboratories, computer centers with internet connectivity, a large, automated library, extensive playgrounds, and various student amenities. Additional facilities include comfortable hostels, transportation services from Kollam and Kottarakkara, all-weather bituminous roads, a perennial protected water supply, and captive electricity generation to ensure uninterrupted power across the campus. Edusat connectivity enables students to engage in interactive programs conducted by subject experts.
