S.K.P. Engineering College, established in 1999, is sponsored by the Sri S. Kuppusaamy Memorial Educational Trust. The Founder Chairman, Mr. K. Karunanithi, B.E., MBA, envisioned this institution as a hub of academic excellence. Located in the sacred town of Thiruvannamalai, known as the pristine abode of Lord Arunachala Shiva, Sree Ramana Maharishi, Sree Seshadri Swamy, and Sree Ram Surat Kumar, the college benefits from an inspiring and serene environment.

Thiruvannamalai, a district headquarters, is ideally positioned at the junction of the Chittoor-Cuddalore State Highway and the Pondicherry-Bangalore National Highway (NH66). It is also renowned for the world-famous Karthigai Deepam festival, celebrated for 13 days at the Lord Arunachaleswara Temple annually in October or November.
