Panimalar Engineering College (An Autonomous Institution), a Christian Minority institution governed by the JAISAKTHI Educational Trust, was established with the goal of providing quality engineering education to aspiring youth. All eligible undergraduate programs and the MBA are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with 12(B) & 2(f) status. Founded in 2000, the college was established in alignment with the Tamil Nadu government's policy to address the growing need for skilled engineers for various industrial and development projects across Tamil Nadu and India.
