About IIT, Palakkad

Founded in 2015, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad is committed to fostering an environment that encourages students and faculty to explore knowledge, innovate, and think critically, ultimately becoming catalysts for positive change in the world. Starting with just 120 students in July 2015, IIT Palakkad has grown to approximately 1,000 students and is staffed by top-tier talent in key positions.

With a vision to become a leading multi-disciplinary institution, IIT Palakkad aims to enroll 5,000 students by its 10th year. Qualification/Experience

Qualification:

A Ph.D. in the relevant research area, with first-class or equivalent at the preceding (penultimate) degree in the appropriate field, and a consistently strong academic record throughout.

Experience:

Age Limit

• Professor: Preferably less than 55 years *

• Associate Professor: Preferably less than 45 years*

• Assistant Professor: Preferably less than 35, but not exceeding 40 years.

* May be relaxed in exceptional cases.

Relaxation in age to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes - Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) would be admissible as per Government of India norms. Three-year age relaxation will be given for women candidates where no other relaxation is applicable.
