About NEHU, Shillong

North-Eastern Hill University was established through an Act of Parliament and officially notified on July 19, 1973. As stated in the Act, the university's objectives include disseminating and advancing knowledge by offering instructional and research facilities in various fields of study. Additionally, it aims to contribute to the enhancement of the social and economic conditions, welfare, and overall development of the people in the hill areas of the North-Eastern region, with a particular focus on their intellectual, academic, and cultural progress.

Experience and Qualification Requirements

In accordance with the UGC Regulations 2018 and the latest AICTE guidelines.

Salary / Pay Scale ₹

₹1500 per lecture, with a maximum limit of ₹50,000 per month.
