NMAM Institute of Technology, established in 1986, is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The institute is accredited by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC), with all its programs accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Additionally, it is ISO 9001-2008 certified for quality education by NVT Quality Certifications (ANAB accredited). Since the 2007-08 academic year, the institution has been granted academic autonomy under VTU.
