About NITTE (DEEMED-TO-BE) UNIVERSITY

NITTE (Deemed-to-be) University, established in 2008 in Mangalore, is renowned for its high-quality education and dedication to social values, inspired by its founder, the late Justice KS Hegde. The university is accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC, ranked 75th in the NIRF 2022, and falls within the 451-500 band in the QS World University Rankings 2023 for the Asia region. Nitte Mahalinga Adyantaya Memorial Institute of Technology (NMAMIT), Nitte, established in 1986 and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, became a constituent college of Nitte (Deemed-to-be) University, Mangalore, in June 2022. It was ranked 175th among engineering colleges in India in the 2022 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. In the 2020 AICTE-CII Survey of Industry-Linked Technical Institutes, NMAMIT was awarded the 'Platinum' category for its strong industry connections.
