About NIT, Calicut

The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut), formerly known as Regional Engineering College Calicut, is a prestigious public technical university recognized as an institute of national importance under the NIT Act enacted by the Parliament of India. The campus is located 22 kilometers northeast of Kozhikode, along the Kozhikode–Mukkam Road.

Qualification and Experience

The qualifications, experience, and criteria for selection will adhere to the Recruitment Rules for faculty positions in NITs, as specified in Schedule E of the National Institute of Technology Calicut Statutes, 2017 (formerly "The First Statutes of the National Institute of Technology"), published in the Gazette of India on July 24, 2017. This will also include clarifications issued by the MHRD/MoE on April 16, 2019, and amendments published in the Gazette of India on June 6, 2023. The selection process will be conducted in accordance with the Recruitment Rules and Office Memoranda (OMs) issued by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, as updated periodically.
