J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad (formerly YMCA University of Science and Technology and earlier YMCA Institute of Engineering, Faridabad) was established in 1969 as a collaborative initiative by the National Council of YMCAs of India, the Government of Haryana, and the Central Agencies for Development Aid, Bonn, Germany. Originally launched as an Indo-German project, it aimed to provide technical education in India following the German model.
