The Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna) is one of the newer IITs, established by an Act of the Indian Parliament on August 6, 2008. The city of Patna, formerly known as Patliputra, has long been a hub of knowledge, attracting scholars and visitors from across the world, including China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, and Sri Lanka. This region has been home to great visionaries, including Lord Gautam Buddha, Lord Mahavir, Guru Gobind Singh, renowned astronomer Aryabhatta, and India’s first President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad.
