Project Title / Tenure

• Development and Standardization of Biochar and Its By-products for Applications in the Indian Iron and Steel Industry

• The position is temporary and will conclude with the project, which is approved for a duration of three years.

• All routine jobs and research work related to the project, including report preparation, paper and patent writing.

Experience and Qualification Requirements

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in the field of "Thermochemical Conversion of Biomass," "Biofuels," or "Biochar Application in the Iron and Steel Industry," or related areas. Additionally, they must have completed an M.E./M.Tech in Fuel Engineering/Energy Engineering, with a B.E./B.Tech background in Mechanical, Chemical, Mineral, or Energy disciplines.

Alternatively, candidates with 5 years of research and development experience post-M.E./M.Tech in Fuel Engineering, along with a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, Mineral, or Energy disciplines, are also eligible. Such candidates must have published at least one research paper in an SCI-indexed journal.

Salary / Pay Scale ₹

Fellowship: JRF – ₹1,50,000 for the first 6 months, ₹1,25,000 for the next 18 months, and ₹1,25,000 for the final 12 months, plus HRA.
