The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM) is committed to conducting world-class scientific research and offering science education of international standards. In India, undergraduate science curricula have traditionally separated teaching and research. To address this gap, the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, established the IISERs. IISER-TVM was founded in 2008 with the goal of offering high-quality education in modern science at the undergraduate level, seamlessly integrating it with cutting-edge research, and fostering a spirit of interdisciplinary inquiry.

Experience and Qualification Requirements

Experience:  The candidate should have completed a UG/PG degree in the relevant discipline with strong academic credentials. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with a genuine passion for teaching and mentoring students. Additionally, the candidate should possess a solid research background and a demonstrated commitment to advancing knowledge in their field.

Qualification: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. Three years of Industrial/Research/Teaching experience excluding the duration of Ph.D. Age preferably below 35 years.

Salary / Compensation / Pay Scale ₹

The position is classified under Level 12, Cell 1, with a minimum pay of INR 1,01,500, along with HRA, travel allowance, and pension benefits under the Government of India's New Pension Scheme (NPS). The gross monthly salary, excluding HRA, is approximately INR 1,78,965.
