About IIIT, Kota

The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kota (IIIT Kota) is an institute of national importance, established in 2013. It operates as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative, jointly managed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, the Government of Rajasthan, and industry partners.

Currently, IIIT Kota is mentored by Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur (MNIT Jaipur) and functions from its premises. The institute's permanent campus will be developed on 100.37 acres of land at Ranpur, near Kota, allocated by the Government of Rajasthan.

Experience and Qualification Requirements

• Professor: Ph.D. with 10 years of experience post-Ph.D. or 13 years in total (excluding the Ph.D. enrollment period), of which 7 years must be post-Ph.D. and at least 3 years at the Associate Professor level in a recognized institution.

• Associate Professor: Ph.D. with 6 years of experience post-Ph.D. or 9 years in total (excluding the Ph.D. enrollment period), including 3 years post-Ph.D. Additionally, 3 years of experience as an Assistant Professor with an AGP of 8000/- or equivalent in a reputed university, R&D lab, or relevant industry.

• Assistant Professor Grade-I: Ph.D. with 3 years of experience post-Ph.D. or 6 years in total (excluding the Ph.D. enrollment period) after obtaining an M.Tech degree.

• Assistant Professor Grade-II: Ph.D. with 1 year of experience.

• Assistant Professor Grade-II: Ph.D. (no experience required).

Salary / Pay Scale ₹

• Professor: Pay Band-4 with a Grade Pay of ₹10,500, corresponding to Pay Level 14A in the 7th CPC pay matrix.

• Associate Professor: Pay Band-4 with a Grade Pay of ₹9,500, corresponding to Pay Level 13A2 in the 7th CPC pay matrix.

• Assistant Professor Grade-I: Pay Band-3 with a Grade Pay of ₹8,000, corresponding to Pay Level 12 in the 7th CPC pay matrix.

• Assistant Professor Grade-II: Pay Band-3 with a Grade Pay of ₹7,000, corresponding to Pay Level 11 in the 7th CPC pay matrix.

• Assistant Professor Grade-II: Pay Band-3 with a Grade Pay of ₹6,000, corresponding to Pay Level 10 in the 7th CPC pay matrix.
