IIT Hyderabad is shaping history with its dedicated faculty, students, and staff. Though young, the institute carries a bold vision and commitment to excellence in education and research. With agility and innovation, it aims to set new benchmarks in academia. In just a year, IIT Hyderabad has made remarkable progress. The first batch of 111 B.Tech. students joined on August 20, 2008. Three departments—CSE, EE, and ME—were established. The pioneer batch experienced an exciting first year, filled with challenges and growth. In January 2009, the institute welcomed 11 PhD students, marking another milestone.

Experience and Qualification Requirements

• Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Studies, Anthropology, Sociology, Environment and Development, Development Studies, or related disciplines.

• Must have completed an empirical research-based dissertation, preferably on pastoral, agro-pastoral, or agricultural systems.

• Basic understanding of field research methodologies, data collection, and analysis.

• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

• Familiarity with Q-GIS and remote sensing; proficiency in map-making is desirable.

Salary / Pay Scale ₹

The role provides a consolidated salary of ₹25,000 per month plus HRA. Travel and fieldwork expenses will be fully covered by the project.
