About CUJ, Jammu

The Central University of Jammu was established on August 8, 2011, following the appointment of its first Vice-Chancellor. It was created under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (Act No. 25 of 2009). The university began its first academic session (2011-2012) with three postgraduate programs in English, Economics, and Applied Mathematics, operating from Temporary Academic Block-I (TAB-I) located at Sidhra Bypass Road, Jammu.

In the subsequent academic session (2012-2013), five additional postgraduate programs were introduced: Computer Science, Educational Studies, Environmental Sciences, Human Resource Management, and Travel & Tourism Management. These programs were conducted at Temporary Academic Block-II (TAB-II) in Sainik Colony Extension.

• Excellent communication skills are required.

• A passion for teaching and mentoring students is essential.

• A strong track record in research is necessary.
