The Central University of Andhra Pradesh holds a unique position within the Indian University System. It was established as part of the Government of India’s commitment to meet the aspirations of the people of Andhra Pradesh following the bifurcation of the former unified state into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Founded in 2018, the university is located in the district headquarters town of Anantapuramu in the Rayalaseema region.

This region is historically significant as it was part of the Vijayanagara Empire, once ruled by the renowned king Sri Krishnadevaraya, celebrated for his people-centric governance and numerous welfare initiatives. Additionally, the region is known for its rich mineral deposits and the pleasant climate of the Deccan Plateau.

The eligibility criteria and detailed terms and conditions for recruitment can be downloaded from the University website at www.cuap.ac.in. Candidates must submit their applications and pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) for UR/OBC categories for all positions.

Payment will be accepted only through online mode. It is mandatory for candidates to submit a separate application for each post, along with the required details for that post. SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates are exempt from paying any fees.

Experience: 

                                          Professor Eligibility (A or B):

A.

• An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. in the relevant/related discipline, possessing high-quality published work and active research involvement, evidenced by at least TEN research publications in UGC CARE-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria in Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations 2018.

• At least ten years of teaching experience in a university/college as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, and/or equivalent research experience at university/national-level institutions, with proof of successfully guiding doctoral candidates.

B.

• An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. in the relevant/related/applied discipline from an academic institution (not covered in point A) or industry, who has made significant contributions to the field, supported by documentary evidence, with at least ten years of experience.

                                           Associate Professor Eligibility

• A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.

• A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).

• A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/ research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of SEVEN research publications in journals notified in the UGC CARE list and a total research score of Seventy-five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations 2018.
