BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE) was established in 1946 by the late Sri B. M. Sreenivasaiah, a visionary and philanthropist, and later nurtured by his distinguished son, the late Sri B. S. Narayan. As the first private engineering college in India, BMSCE has been a pioneer in engineering education for over 69 years. Initially offering just three undergraduate programs, the college has expanded to provide 13 undergraduate and 16 postgraduate programs in both traditional and emerging fields. Additionally, 15 departments are recognized as research centers, offering Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Engineering by Research) degrees across Science, Engineering, Architecture, and Management. BMSCE is committed to outcome-based education, ensuring academic excellence and industry relevance.
